Borussia Dortmund’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, is likely to leave the club after BVB’s game in the cup final. Sources suggest that the DFB Cup Final against Eintracht Frankfurt is set to be Tuchel’s last game in black and yellow after only two seasons in charge of the club.
All of this can be traced back to off-the-field tensions between club CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke and the manager in regards to the terror incident that occurred shortly before the match against AS Monaco in the Champions League. While Tuchel is reported to have told Watzke to request the game to be scheduled at a later time, the latter ignored this memo and agreed when the game was rescheduled to be played within 24 hours.

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the club’s talisman, also rumoured to have handed in a transfer request, this summer could become a tricky one for Dortmund.
Tuchel’s departure will inevitably link many managerial names to the club, but picking the right man will be critical if the club are to improve on their 3rd place finish from this year’s Bundesliga and pose any serious threat to Bayern’s domestic dominance.
