Chelsea’s history with La Liga transfers after Saul Niguez capture

Chelsea managed to capture the signature of Saul Niguez on deadline day as the Atletico Madrid midfielder completed a loan move to the UEFA Champions League champions, with the potential of that switch being turned into a permanent deal.

Indeed, the Blues appear to have been able to acquire another exceptional midfielder in the middle of the park to compete with the likes of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic for a position in Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Chelsea now look incredibly strong throughout their squad and there will be serious concerns amongst many of their rivals in regards to the race for the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League once again.

However, whether the addition of Saul works out in the way that they will hope is another matter and one that could go either way, although many will want it to be in a positive fashion, just as is the experience when using the best Canada online casino.

Planet Football took it upon themselves to take a look at the last 9 players to have arrived at Stamford Bridge from La Liga prior to the Atletico Madrid man’s arrival and it is safe to say that there is a mixed bag of results.

Kovacic was the latest addition from Spain’s top division and the Croatian has been a player who has steadily improved during his time in west London as his first year was a little inconsistent at times. However, he has since become an important player for the Blues and one that makes a difference in a host of ways..

Kepa Arrizabalga came with the weight of the world on his shoulders due to his transfer fee. He has had a rollercoaster of a journey at Stamford Bridge so far, with highs and lows, including those that come in the finals of competitions.

Alvaro Morata just simply did not work out as intended. He struggled badly before returning to Atletico Madrid before going on to Juventus. Hopefully he also had better luck playing casino games online as well after he left the Bridge.

Pedro and Diego Costa were both excellent for the Blues during their time at Chelsea, as each of them managed to produce when required.

Cesc Fabregas was perhaps one of the best additions to have arrived from Spain’s La Liga, as the former Arsenal man returned to the Premier League after time at FC Barcelona and showed everyone what he could do in the blue.

Felipe Luis is a forgettable name as he lasted just one season before heading back to Atletico Madrid; something Saul will want to avoid and hope he replicates what Juan Mata had managed to achieve instead.

All in all, Chelsea have had some success stories and a few horror ones, but with everything that has been said about Saul Niguez over the years, then there should not be any nightmare tales here.
