West Ham United were on fire at the beginning of this season, and they were in the top four. The main reason for their consistent performance was the performance of Antonio and Said Benrahma. This duo was on fire. In August, the blistering form of Antonio and Benrahma helped the team to score ten goals from just three games in the league. The team scored four goals consecutively in two games. West Ham betting will always have at least one player who steps up to increase the winning odds.

Both of them were also nominated for the Player of the Month award, and Antonio won it with having four goals and three assists to his name that month.

But after a couple of months, West Ham’s performance dipped a bit, and they were dropped from the top four. Antonio and Benrahma were not performing as expected, and it created a headache for David Moyes. They dropped points against Brentford, Manchester City, Southampton, Wolves, Brighton and Arsenal.

It was high time someone should have stepped up to bring West Ham back to winning ways. That was the time when Jarrod Bowen stepped up for the team. Bowen has been directly involved in 16 goals in all competitions this season, nine goals and eight assists, more than any other English player in the Premier League. His ninth goal came in the 2-3 loss against Leeds United at the weekend.

On the right flank, he is always a threat to the opponents and the recent matches, he was able to become more dangerous. David Moyes trusts him greatly, and he has returned the trust through goals.

“It’s all about progressing,” Bowen said after scoring in West Ham’s 2-0 victory over Leeds in the FA Cup. “Whether that is assists or goals, they are the main two things you look at as a winger. Mo Salah is the perfect example, the goals he scores and assists he gets since he joined Liverpool. He is definitely one that I look at.”

His recent performance has made him a target in the market for the top European clubs. The leading club that is behind him is Liverpool, and his recent statement about Salah also made the rumours a bit stronger. There are fewer chances of him going to a new club in the winter transfer window. But we should keep our eyes on him in the summer as some top clubs will bargain to buy him.

“Well, Jarrod’s at a top club now,” Moyes responded when recently asked if Bowen could be a transfer target for other clubs with Liverpool repeatedly mentioned as suitors. “It’s the level of consistency Jarrod now needs to bring to his game. We are trying to up his goals, and his assists. All those things like that.”

Gareth Southgate will indeed watch his recent performances. No English forward is playing on a great form like him. So, there are high chances that he will get his first call for the England National Team for the upcoming games.
